Mary Ann Wilhelm recently completed her annual run for Honary Mayor of Ruskin. This event is organized every year by the Ruskin Chamber of Commerce to raise money for local charities. While she did not raise the most money in the race, she still raised enough to present a sizeable check to the Hillsborough County Sheriffs' Office, District IV personnel to support their Deputies Darlin's program. Deputies Darlin's is a non-profit program which helps support single mothers and struggling parents throughout the year. This is done by providing food, clothing, and helping with the finances of needy families. At Christmas this program provides gifts to the chidlren of the families. In addition to providing a cash donation from her campaign, Mary Ann invites anyone who wishes to support local families through this program to drop off unwrapped toys and clothing items at the office of Wilhelm Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc., 802 4th Street SW, Ruskin, FL 33570.
